Schön Properties wins 2 CNBC Awards for Best Projects

Dubai, UAE, October 7, 2009; The CNBC Arabian Commercial Property Awards 2009 revealed Schon Properties as the winners of two awards this year for the Best Mixed Use and Best Office Development categories. The accolades have been presented to Schon Properties for their two major developments Dubai Lagoon and Schon Business Park respectively.

The Arabian Commercial Property Awards are run in conjunction with the International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious competition dedicated to finding the best real estate professionals across the globe.

Schön Properties are the developers of landmark projects in Dubai as part of their 10 Billion Dirham portfolio. The company operates of a zero external liability policy and all its projects are self funded.

All entries at the Arabian Commercial Property Awards are evaluated through a set criteria based on the elements of Location, Appearance & Finish, Services (including communal and leisure facilities), Safety, Security, Sustainability, Innovation and marketing and financial packaging. Successful entrants are expected to ace all requirements to secure the top position in each category.

Dubai Lagoon is located at the heart of Dubai Investment Park and in addition to being minutes away from the new Jebel Ali airport; the community has three excellent golf courses in its proximity.

Additionally, The Dubai Lagoon project is surrounded by all amenities required by a residential community including schools, shopping markets, cafes and restaurants. All entries for the awards are judged by a panel of professionals with unsurpassed knowledge of the international property industry. This year’s judges included Eric Pickles, chairman of the Conservative Party, Ben Wood, industry head property markets of Google UK; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals; Imtiaz Farookhi, chief executive of the National House Building Council; Christopher Hall, president elect of FIABCI; Wilhelm Harnish, Master Builders of Australia (MBA); Thijs Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA); Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes magazine and Gillian Farr, head of design of Laura Ashley Home.
